Finger Puppet ShowEllie Keehn and Gwen Langhals (Grade 1)
How did the people dress in the olden days? Facts: In the olden days the girls wore bonnets, long dresses and lacy petticoats. The boys wore straw hats, short pants and long socks. We used the internet, storybooks, and pictures to find out how everyone dressed. Summary: This is how we made our project. First, we found a box and cut the side of it out. Then we used material and a rod to form the curtain of the stage. We made desks out of cardboard and put an apple on it. When we made the puppets, we cut rectangles out of felt and fit it around our fingers. We used tan felt for the bodies, foam for the dresses, tiny straw hats that Ellie bought, yarn for hair, and buttons for decorations. |

How did the people look in the olden days? Facts: The girls wore long dresses down to the floor, bonnets, and aprons. The men wore short pants and straw hats. To find our answer, we looked at pictures of the olden days on the computer and from books. Summary: This is how we made our project. First we cut out the body shape and then colored it skin color. We used material for the skirts and wallpaper for the shirts and pants. We glued the clothes onto the figure shape. We added buttons for shirts and blouses, yarn for hair, and lace for bonnets and decorations. |
